The Bells of Easter is the name of a special fundraising concert for the Glenora Farm handbell program.

Scheduled for Sunday, April 17, starting at 3 p.m. at the Duncan United Church on Ingram Street, this event will feature not only the Farm's own award-winning handbell ensemble but also the Cowichan Valley Youth Choir, the Jubilate Choir and the Bopoma Marimba group.

If you attended the Cowichan Music Festival Highlights Concert, you probably heard handbell group director Annette Lampson say that the farm is trying to collect enough money to buy a two-octave set of handbells at a cost of $6,000.

This and other events this year are aimed at helping fund that project.

Tickets for the show are $12 for adults or $20 for a family. Get them at Ten Old Books, Gallowglass Books and Volume One Bookstore in Duncan or at Glenora Store & Café or even at the door but be sure to come out for a unique experience.

Glenora Farm is operated by the Ita Wegman Association of B.C. and offers a special place for people with special needs.
