Short Term Co-workers
Each year Glenora Farm welcomes a limited number of young short term co-workers from Canada and abroad. The co-workers join the farm for a minimum of six months, however, many spend a year with us,and some decide to stay longer and apply for a permanent position.
Generally, the co-workers have a keen interest in working with people with developmental disabilities. During their time on Glenora Farm they live in an extended family setting in one of the residences and are responsible for assisting our companions in their daily life and work. Depending on interest, Glenora Farm provides many opportunities to learn more about and appreciate people with special needs. There are also opportunities to learn new skills in the workshops and on the farm. Our short-term co-workers with their diverse background, enthusiasm and energy bring a vibrancy to the farm.
